eBay has finally made its eBay Selling application and eBay for iPad application available to international users. The former is now available in Germany and the UK, and the latter now comes in French, Italian, German and Spanish versions through Apple’s 77 iTunes App Stores.
Android users haven’t been left behind and eBay’s free Android app is now available to download in Australia, Canada and the UK. The app offers new updates to ‘My eBay’ including immediate Checkout through PayPal and also voice search capabilities, a feature unique to the Android platform. eBay’s recently acquired RedLaser barcode-scanning technology, currently available on iPhone’s eBay app in the UK and Germany, is also coming to Android soon.
iPad users can now browse through 200+ million listings on eBay which will of course add to eBay’s 2009 sales figures where it generated over $ 600 million in GMV through its mobile platforms. EBay has already released its eBay Application for BlackBerry in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.
