All those who tried and gave a thumbs up to Google’s Chrome Browser for its speed and easy loading features have much to celebrate. Google announced the launch of its Chrome OS (originally announced in 2009) in autumn this year. Based on the Chrome Browser it mainly targets netbooks and is designed to work with web applications.
Google claims that 70 million people currently use the Chrome browser and this bodes well for the Chrome Operating system as Google’s Sundar Pichai said at Compu Tex. “It’s something which we are very excited by. We expect it to reach millions of users on day one”.
It’s still a long shot to claim that Chrome will challenge rivals Microsoft or even Firefox but if it gets support from hardware manufacturers in launching Chrome based products, it may become a reality sooner than later.
