Facebook’s privacy settings woes seem far from over as the company continues to roll out simpler versions of several of its functions. The latest is a much simpler application permission system where third party apps specify exactly what data they need to access and gives users the option to opt out later if they wish. All options appear in a single dialogue box in contrast to the previous settings where not only there was no specification available regarding the data being accessed but a number of boxes needed to be checked.
The latest update comes after Facebook’s earlier changes in privacy controls proved inadequate to pacify disgruntled users worldwide who kept pointing out more faults and demanded rectification.
