Sources at Techcrunch are claiming what could be one of the biggest wins for Microsoft in a while. It’s being reported that Microsoft Bing will be replacing Google in the new iPhone operating system expected to be released in the first week of June. This is sure to remind of the public row between Google and Apple last year over the Google voice app for the iPhone which could be a factor in souring the relationship between the two companies. Other rumours doing rounds suggest that Google was paying Apple $100 million a year for the iPhone search rights and it seems like Microsoft came knocking with a better deal.
However, latest updates from several sources are denying Google’s removal from the next iPhone OS4 and also brushing off the $100 million tab claim saying “It’s more complicated than this”. Guess all eyes and ears are on the Worlwide Developers Conference beginning from the 7th of June in San Francisco.
