The retail chain ‘Target’ is teaming up with Amazon to bring the latter’s world popular e-book reader Kindle to consumers all across the US from June 6th. Amazon recently announced the launch of a new and improved Kindle and the hook up with Target is a smart move to firmly hold on to the 60% market that Amazon currently enjoys in terms of e-book readers. It’s a first for Amazon though Target has been selling the Sony Reader line since 2008.
With a number of tablets being launched left right and centre which provide the book downloading facility and beautiful colour displays, it’s wise on Amazon’s part to move fast and make the Kindle as widely and easily available as possible.
